State Polytechnic of Sriwijaya is one of the institutions of higher education in South Sumatra which has several buildings and using electrical energy to support the operations of the various process activities therein, one Electrical Building (building V College of electrical engineering) that provides electric power to the whole room in it. With the need for an evaluation of the use of electric power aims to renew the old data into the new data, with measurements of the current process used on Building College 5. One of the factors used to get the current College building on 5 by using the tool in measuring the amperage of the tang on the panel illumination and power panel. One item to note in power measurement is a security which when conducting measurements of prioritizing their safety with the use of safety shoes, the condition of the hands is not wet, the focus in using the measuring instrument when data retrieval. This measurement aims to know the power on one panel, power perlantai on building college 5, knowing the balance of power, peak load, load average, and low load.
