Abstract

The birth of 4G LTE Technology with all the advantages compared with previous technology has brought us to super fast mobile digital communications era. To find out how big the development of LTE technology today. Then, conducted research on the performance of mobile internet in the rural (Kenten Laut) and inner city (Bukit Besar) in Palembang. That is by comparing RSRP, SINR, RSRQ and Troughput with KPI Theory and KPI Telkomsel.For rural areas the results obtained are 100% dedicated RSRP mode for ≥ (-100) dBm, dedicated mode SINR 84.62% <0dBm, 99.59% <(- 18) dBm and dedicated mode troughput 71.17% ± 2 Mbps. For inner city area the results obtained are 100% dedicated mode RSRP for ≥ (-100) dBm, dedicated SINR mode 91.66% <0dBm, RSRQ dedicated mode 99.47%> (-18) dBm and dedicated mode troughput 88.1% ≥ 2 Mbps. From this research it can be concluded that the average quality of performance factors inner city of palembang city is optimal. As for rural city palembang still need optimization.
