Abstract

Nowadays technology is getting faster developing that can simplify human work. To further the development of mobile phones today is more inclined towards the smartphone. The Smartphone itself is a communications device that runs on certain operating systems, which incorporates most of the functions of cellular phones such as audio players, camcorders, Global Positioning System (GPS) and Personal Computer (PC) to support more modern computing and connectivity capabilities . Many operating systems are used on smartphones now one of them GPS developed by Google. GPS (Global Positioning System) can know the location of an object on the entire surface of the earth, as long as there is a GPS signal in the area. The signal transmitted by the GPS device (GPS Tracking Unit) will be received by GPS satellites that circle the earth, amounting to 24 satellites. In this final report was made a simple smartphone application capable of providing location coordinates by utilizing GPS technology, then be monitored or tracked using Personal Computer. Location changes will be marked with changes in geographic coordinates.
