Abstract
Effect of the addition of Glycerin cornstarch Edible Film Plastics Manufacture physical quality (Edible Films) of aloe vera gel (Aloe-Vera) Mustikasari, 2014. 43 Pages, 10 Tables, 11 pictures, 4 Enclosure Development of manufacturing technology of Edible Film plastics made from natural is one way to solve environmental problems. Biodegradable plastic is a natural polymer that is easily decomposed by microorganisms. In this study making of Edible Film plastic using natural ingredients from aloe vera gel and glycerin plasticizers. Aloe vera gel is very much at the efficacy and the benefits that can be used in everyday life and can be updated and easily degraded. This study aims to determine the effect of the addition of cornstarch in the physical quality of the manufacture of plastics and knowing the type of plastic that is made, where the heating temperature of 20-500C and Temperature Oven 500C.Hasil study where increased tensile test of 50-170 Pa, test the thickness increased 0.025 - 0.05 cm, soluble test increased from 13-16%. Results showed that the addition of glycerin and cornstarch affect the characteristics of Edible Film plastic. Keywords: Edible Film plastic, aloe vera gel (Aloe-vera), glycerin
