Abstract
This study aims to produce a script of audio storytelling of the folklore of Three Gods; Founders of the Universe of Besemah to preserve and promote folklore in South Sumatra. The purpose of this study was to know how to the steps in scriptwriting an audio storytelling of the folklore Three Gods; Founders of the Universe of Besemah. The methodology used in this study was Research and Development (R&D) and followed the steps of writing an audio script from Danu (2013). In research steps, the outline, synopsis, and treatment were formulated to make the first draft of the audio storytelling script based on the information collected from Research step through literature study and interview technique. In Development steps, there were six experts participated as participants who were selected based on their experience and knowledge to give comments and suggestions on content, language, script writing, and audio program. The comments and suggestions from the experts were used to revised the first version into final version. It is concluded that audio storytelling scripts can give knowledge and information to the readers about folklore Three Gods; Founders of the Universe of Besemah from Pagaralam regency and can be used as preservation and promotion media of the folklore Three Gods; Founders of the Universe of Besemah as one of folklores from Pagaralam regency, South Sumatra.
