Abstract
ABSTRACT Peninggalan-Batas Jambi street is a road that connects the east and cross the middle Sumatera, this road has a very important role in promoting economic growth both locally and nationally. The final report this writing, the author would like to know how the planning and design of geometric and hard compact on Peninggalan-Bats Jambi street, so that the road will be able to give a sense of security, convenient, and economical way for the user. In order to design this geometric road, we use some methods, they are Bina Marga’s standard specification method, and Component Analysis Method for planning its flexible pavement, and Cost Plan, and Project Management, and Cross Town Geometric Road Rules. From the results of above calculations, so Peninggalan - Batas Jambi street is a class I road according to LHR value within 35371 smp/day 2 ways with the speed of the road plan 70 km/hour, and this road used 8 curves and value California Bearing Ratio is 5.85%. For surface area hard compact thickness is 10 cm used asphalt concrete, sub base is 25 cm used split class A and base is 58 cm used sirtu. This road building was carried out within 178 days with a total fund Rp.41,496,671,000,-
