Abstract
In this globalization era, the tendency of increased competition in the future lead to many urban and rural communities think education degree is a must for anyone who has worked or for someone to be able to work. The trend has led to increased movement into downtown education center located usual places. Of these problems can be seen that the development activities of the college are located in the corridor along Jenderal Ahmad Yani Plaju sreett, especially Universitas Bina Darma capable of causing attraction and trip generation that directly affect the smooth flow of traffic on Jalan Ahmad Yani Plaju. Therefore, it is necessary studies and research to determine the effect of Bina Darma For University operations against Level of Service Jalan Ahmad Yani Plaju. Based on a study of the percentage of Universitas Bina Darma trip attraction Jenderal Ahmad Yani roads by 10.21% with the amount of movement and the pull of 151.25 campus road traffic volume for 3095 Jenderal Ahmad Yani street movement. While the rise of the university campus to the streets of Bina Darma Jenderal Ahmad Yani is 4.54% with rise of Universitas Bina Darma 64 movement with road traffic volume amounted to 2817.8 Jenderal Ahmad Yani movement. Then to the capacity of Jenderal Ahmad Yani street itself is someone at 3136.32 smp/hour with a level of service which means the 0.723 level of service at the level of C (stable flow). From the analysis of the above data it can be concluded that the operation of Bina Darma University does not provide a major contribution to the rise of traffic on Jalan Ahmad Yani Plaju Palembang.
