Abstract

Arsip merupakan hal penting yang harus diperhatikan penanganannya. Arsip yang tersimpan harus dapat terkelola secara aman, tertata, juga penemuan kembalinya dilakukan dengan tepat dan cepat. Tujuan dari laporan akhir ini adalah untuk merancang sistem penyimpanan arsip secara elektronik berbasis Microsoft Access Pada Seksi Ketentraman dan Ketertiban Umum Kecamatan Rambutan Kabupaten Banyuasin. Laporan ini ditulis dengan menggunakan metode pengumpulan data riset lapangan dan riset kepustakaan. Riset lapangan dilakukan dengan wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan metode analisis kualitatif. Berdasarkan riset lapangan yang telah dilakukan diketahui bahwa sistem penyimpanan arsip pada Seksi Ketentraman dan Ketertiban Umum Kecamatan Rambutan Kabupaten Banyuasin menggunakan sistem penyimpanan arsip manual secara kronologis. Sistem penyimpanan arsip ini masih belum berjalan dengan baik sehingga menyebabkan proses penemuan kembali memakan waktu 10 sampai 15 menit dan banyak menggunakan map ordner. Dengan menggunakan sistem penyimpanan arsip elektronik berbasis Microsoft Access yang sudah dirancang, maka penemuan kembali arsip surat cukup memakan waktu kurang dari 1 (satu) menit dan tidak membutuhkan peralatan yang banyak. Perancangan sistem penyimpanan arsip elektronik berbasis Microsoft Access dapat memudahkan pegawai dalam mengelola arsip yang dilengkapi dengan fitur login, fitur input arsip, fitur report, fitur pencarian dan fitur attachment yang dapat meningkatkan keamanan, efisiensi dan efektivitas pengelolaan arsip.
