Abstract
Penelitian yang berjudul Pengarsipan Surat Dengan Menggunakan Microsoft Access 2016 Pada Bank Sumsel Babel Cabang Pembantu Bandara Mas Palembang ini bertujuan untuk merancang aplikasi kearsipan elektronik surat masuk dan surat keluar serta dokumen-dokumen lainnya seperti Berita Acara BMS, Inventory, Gaji Pegawai BMS, Gaji Marketing Officer, gaji Tangkas & outs, Mobil Dinas serta Kankas KM 6 dan Kankas Talang Kelapa dengan menggunakan software Microsoft Access 2016. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah riset lapangan secara langsung seperti melakukan pengamatan dan wawancara secara langsung terhadap sistem kearsipan yang ada di Unit Umum dan Akuntansi. Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan dan wawancara bahwa Unit Umum dan Akuntansi di Bank Sumsel Babel Capem Bandara Mas Palembang masih menggunakan sistem kearsipan masual, dan arsip-arsip yang disusun berdasarkan prihal surat atau tanggal pada surat. Adapun permasalahan yang dihadapi adalah sulitnya menemukan arsip yang dibutuhkan sebelumnya serta membutuhkan tempat penyimpanan yang cukup luas dikarenakan terjadinya penumpukkan surat. berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut penulis merancang aplikasi kearsipan elektronik dengan menggunakan Microsoft Access 2016 agar permasalahan dapat segera teratasi. Aplikasi sistem kearsipan elektronik ini dapat membuat pekerjaan pegawai unit Umum dan Akuntansi lebih efektif dan efisien sehingga tidak terjadinya penumpukkan kembali arsip, mudah dalam pencarian serta mengurangi resiko kehilangan arsip.
