Abstract
Tujuan dari laporan akhir ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan proses pengelolaan surat masuk dan surat keluar pada SD Tunas Teladan Kota Palembang. Laporan ini ditulis dengan menggunakan beberapa metode pengumpulan data seperti riset lapangan, wawancara dan juga riset kepustakaan. Analisis data menggunakan metode analisis kualitatif. Berdasarkan riset lapangan yang telah dilakukan diketahui bahwa pengelolaan surat masuk dan surat keluar pada bagian tata usaha SD Tunas Teladan Kota Palembang masih menggunakan sistem manual. Sistem pengelolaan secara manual dengan menggunakan map ordner dan lemari arsip memerlukan ruang lebih untuk menyimpan arsip yang banyak, dan juga dalam penyimpanan arsip tidak menggunakan sistem apapun. Kurangnya staf tata usaha dalam pengelolaan surat membuat proses pengelolaan surat sering terlambat di proses dan mengalami kesulitan. Saran dari penulis untuk SD Tunas Teladan Kota Palembang adalah untuk mengatasi kendala minimnya pegawai tata usaha terhadap pengelolaan surat masuk dan keluar, dapat dilakukan evaluasi menyeluruh terhadap tugas yang harus dilakukan oleh bagian tata usaha. Tingkatkan sistem komunikasi internal, pastikan bahwa seluruh staf administrasi berkomunikasi dengan baik dan mendukung satu sama lain dalam tugas pengelolaan surat, koordinasi yang efektif akan membantu mengatasi kendala minimnya pegawai dan memastikan tanggapan yang tepat waktu terhadap surat-surat yang masuk.
