Abstract

This final project report outlines the implementation of a smart card payment system for primary school students, aiming to enhance convenience, financial education, administrative efficiency, and parental involvement. The proposed system eliminates the need for cash transactions by enabling students to make purchases for meals and other items quickly and easily using their smart cards. It also provides parents with access to information on their child's buying patterns at the school canteen, allowing for monitoring and guidance toward healthier eating choices. The system promotes financial education and responsibility among students, facilitates transparent tracking of purchases, and improves communication between the school and parents. The proposal highlights the significance of the system in terms of convenience, financial education, transparency, and reduced cash handling risks, ultimately benefiting the school community as a whole.
