Abstract
This final report presents the process of writing and developing a bilingual children's storybook entitled ‘The Magic Cake.’ The storybook aims to introduce children aged 6 to 8 years to the cultural richness of Palembang traditional food, particularly Kue Lapan Jam, through engaging narratives and colorful illustrations. Motivated by the low interest in reading among children in Indonesia and the declining familiarity with local culinary heritage, this project utilizes the ADDIE development model to Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate. The product was created in both English and Indonesian and was designed to be visually appealing and educational. The trial involved experts in English language and Indonesian to ensure the language accuracy of the storybook. The result is an interactive and culturally enriched educational tool that contributes to early childhood literacy and cultural awareness.
