Abstract
Drying is one way to remove or eliminate some of the water of a substance by evaporating most of the water contained by evaporation heat energy. At prses drying requires a heat source to vaporize water in a product with memanaatkan hot sun with long time. The purpose of this research is to create a tool tray dryer type (Tray Dryer) with mediaudara heat that is expected to speed up the drying time of a product and determine the combustion reaction will heat the boiler feedwater disupplay. This dryer is composed of four main parts, namely furnaces, boilers, heat excanger, and a drying chamber that has three tray. This mechanism consists of an evaluation instrument design, preparation of equipment and materials, pengeraan tool, performance testing and maintenance. Based on the results of testing variation optimal time for drying for 7 hours with a water content of 11.29% and a heat of reaction pembakatran -251,147.70 kcal.
