Abstract

APPLICATION OF TEMPERATURE SENSOR LM35DZ AT AIR TEMPERATURE STABILIZIER ON CAT CAGES, BASED ATMEGA8535 (2014: xv + 42 PAGES + PICTURES + Tabels + appendix) IKHSAN DAYONA 061130320227 JURUSAN TEKNIK ELEKTRO PROGRAM STUDI TEKNIK ELEKTRONIKA POLITEKNIK NEGERI SRIWIJAYA In general, cat likes the room temperature is not too hot and not too cool with good air circulation. Especially for the kitten room air temperature should be maintained between 30 oC to 32 oC, so that kittens can survive. Temperature stabilizer in the cat cages using Microcontroller ATmega8535 as controllers, and LM35DZ as a temperature sensor. Beside these two components, Temperature stabilizer need a LCD, DC fan driver, incandescent lamp driver, and LED indicator. The workings of the instrument started from measuring temperature by sensor LM35DZ who get a temperature value with temperature translates into a change in output voltage of the sensor and will connect to internal ADC input on the microcontroller. Next, the data is converted to a particular formulation in accordance with the program. If the air temperature is detected normal (ranging from 30 oC to 32 oC), the microcontroller will instruct the LED indicators for active. Then, if the air temperature is detected ranged from 27 oC to 29 oC, an incandescent bulb will be active as a heater. While if the temperature detected is below 27 oC, microcontroller will instruct two incandescent bulbs to active and when the air temperature is detected high at above 32 oC will instruct the microcontroller is active as a DC fan for cooling.
