Abstract
The title of this final report is Potency of Balai Penelitian Sembawa Agro-tourism Object in Banyuasin. Most of the land in Banyuasin is agricultural land and plantations of palm and rubber, so it has an opportunity to be developed as agro-tourism object. One of the agricultural lands in Banyuasin is Balai Penelitian Sembawa. This purpose of this final report is to know whether Balai Penelitian Sembawa has potency or not as an agro-tourism in Banyuasin. The data were collected by using the techniques of observation, interview and documentation. The writer observed potency of Balai Penelitian Sembawa based on the prerequisites of agro-tourism area, interview with a staff of Bagian Urusan Jasa , documentation by photograph and document of Company Profile Balai Penelitian Sembawa. The result of this research, Balai Penelitian Sembawa has potency for agro-tourism area. It caused of Balai Penelitian Sembawa has fulfilled four prerequisites of agro-tourism area; adequate land resources, infrastructure and facilities, potential human resources, the efforts of conservation and preservation. Besides, Balai Penetian Sembawa has to improve the facilities and infrastructure to support agro-tourism development. Keywords: Potency, Agro-tourism.
