Abstract
The purpose ofthis study was todevelopandtest the potentialfor designingattractionslegacyof traditionalsongketforsmallbusinesses. To meetthese goalsthe writer examinesthe potential ofthe homeindustrySongketas a tourist attraction. The writer alsoexaminesthe extent to whichpotentialhomeindustrySongketanddesignheritageobjectsidentified by the writer useful in attracting touriststocomeby usingobservation, interviewsandsurveys using questionnaires. From the results, the writer concludethatpotentialhousein the city of Palembangsongketis very goodto be made inone of thetourist attractions thattouristscanvisitto purchaseandlearnhow to make songket.
