Abstract

PROTOTYPE THE LEVEL OF SOIL FERTILITY POST HARVEST TOOL (SULYANTI : 2016 : 55 Pages) Measurement of the acidity of the soil pH is a very important in the cultivation of crops such as horticulture crops at planting time, where land has been used can be used again, it is very important to keep acidity pH so that land can be used again for other crops so as to increase productivity for farmers. Land quality is very important for known by farmer before do cultivation or crops. because land quality will be influence for plants fertility and agreement for grow plants in that agriculture area. However, now our farmer haven’t indicator yet for known land quality level. Our farmer only use basic methods and just experience in the process of planting plants. In connection with the above, in the create tools that can identify the soil pH by using the analog sensor pH meter kit as sensor pH. To find out the value soil pH, this tool wear a analog sensor pH meter kit, combination with Arduino Uno Atmega 328. When measuring sensor attached to the current source resulted in pH values difference occurs on the ground post harvest. So that the pH values obtained can be read by the microcontroller then entered into a series of Operational Amplifier who function as buffer. As for change data data from sensors in the form of analog data into digital data is use ADC (Analog Digital Converter) internal who into Atmega 328. Furthermore the digital data processed by microcontroller Arduino Uno Atmega 328. After processed in microcontroller Atmega 328, data will showed in LCD 2X16 screen. Data who showed in the form of soil pH. The soil pH value in getting the land can be known whether suitable or not for holticulture crops planted other. Expected with this tool the farmers can know the quality and soil pH as one indicator of the level of fertility of the soil so that it can improve agricultural production
