Abstract
DESIGNING STORYBOOK “THE LEGEND OF BAGUS KUNING ” FOR CHILDREN (Aliyah Saraswati, 2016, 53 pages, 1 chart, 60 pictures) This research aims to find out designing storybook “The Legend of Bagus Kuning” for children. The problems are "how to design the storybook telling about Pempek’s and Cuko characteristics related to moral values?" and "what moral values should ne equipped in the storybook for 6-8 years old?". The method of this report is Research and Development (R&D) Modified method developed by Sukmadinata. The research techniques for collecting the data are interview and documentation. Based on the finding, the writer found that the this storybook can be an option for children to read with the cultural theme started from reviewing, surveying, arranging, and testing and revision. The conclusion and suggestion are the designing storybook for children will be means of knowledge and children storybook references for the children.
