Abstract
This report discusses about the potential of Prabumulih city as religious tourism destination. The purposes of this report is to find out the potential of Puyang Gunung Ibul and Petilasan Temenggung Telapak Besak Pincang Jarang as religious tourism destination and to find out the problems faced by the government to promote Prabumulih city as religious tourism destination. The data were collected through observation, questionnaires and interview. The result shows tourism destination must have five elements. Those are attraction, facilities, infrastructure, transportation and hospitality industry. The result also shows that Puyang Gunung Ibul has potency as religious tourism destination. As religious tourism destination, Puyang Gunung Ibul has five elements, those are attraction “Sedekah Puyang and pay the vows); facilities “toilet, musholla and souvenir shop”; infrastructure “the road has been asphalt”; transportation “it is available pulic car and easy to find” and hospitality industry “it is available hotel near Puyang Gunung Ibul”. The result also shows that Petilasan Temenggung Telapak Besak Pincang Jarang has no potency as religious tourism destination. As tourism destination in Prabumulih, Petilasan Temenggung Telapak Besak Pincang Jarang does not have five elements.
