Abstract
Tourism is one of the important sectors in Indonesia. Tourism is not only about tourism destination, but also cultural and event. Indonesia has many cultures. One of the cultures is Dulmuluk that is originally from Palembang. This report is aimed to know about the potency of Dulmuluk as tourism attraction in Palembang. This report took the data through giving questionnaire to thirty six people and doing interview to two people, one from staff of Minister of Palembang Tourism and Cultural and from leader of Harapan Jaya group and using qualitative descriptive as a method. There are nine statements in the questionnaire and six questions for interview. There are the potencies of Dulmuluk such as from the history, the value of the story and the uniqueness of the story, and most of the respondents agree that we should keep and preserve Dulmuluk, but unfortunately the development and promotion of Dulmuluk are not maximal and many people are more interested in modern theater show. If Dulmuluk is developed by making the theater more interesting people will be interested and if the promotion is more intensive so people will know about Dulmuluk show
