Abstract

This study aims to calculate the capacity of a permanent magnet generator, assemble a permanent magnet generator for electric bicycles and know the characteristics of the rotation speed of rotation, the resulting voltage and current of the permanent magnet generator. Analysis of a permanent magnet generator prototype for electric bicycles, in part using a permanent magnet rotor as much as 6 pieces with size 6 cm x 2.5 cm x 1.2 cm. In the stator using steel bolts 12 units with a total of 300 emails coil and wire diameter of 1 mm. The method used to analyze permanent magnet generator capacity by counting the magnetic flux, number of turns, to generate a voltage generator. Further testing by measuring the air gap, rotation speed, voltage and current of the generator produced. The data is analyzed to calculate the power and frequency. Results of calculation of velocity speed generator voltage of 100, 200 and 300 rpm with a width of 0.002 m at 6.33 volts, the width of 0.004 m at 6.062 volts and 0.006 m width of 5.877 volts. While the results of the measurement of the voltage generator with a width of 0.002 m at 5 volts, width of 0.004 m at 4.5 volts and a width of 0.006 m at 4 volts. Generator current measurement at speeds of 100, 200 and 300 rpm with a width of 0.002 m at 0.5 amperes, width of 0.004 m at 1 ampere and 0.006 m wide by 2 amperes. The resulting power generator at a speed of 100 rpm of 1,998 watts, speed 200 rpm at 4.4955 watts and a speed of 300 rpm was 9.99 watts. The resulting frequency generator at a speed of 100 rpm at 5 Hz, the speed of 200 rpm at 10 Hz and a speed of 300 rpm at 15 Hz.
