Abstract
Motorcycle engine oil serves as a lubricant, coolant, patron of rust, cleaning and closing the gap on the walls of the machine. Lubrication of the engine is used to avoid direct friction between the metal in the machine, so that the wear rate of the metal and the level of damage to the engine can be reduced. To obtain oil that is better then the type of oil used must be observed. Factors viscosity or viscosit y oil is the amount that must be adapted to the classification of the machine, thus the use of the appropriate type of lubricating oil can be used by type, Performance and pengunanya needs. In this final project will implement a detection system feasibilit y engine oil is made to determine the feasibility of a motorcycle engine oil Based on the level of viscosity. Detection of motorcycle oil viscosity level is taken by the refractive index or the light intensity of the laser diode is processed by the image processing method using a webcam.
