Abstract
Gasification is one of process utilization of biomass as an alternative energy. The gasification process that converts solid fuels such as biomass into syngas (CO, CH4, H2, O2, CO2, dan N2) as a result of the reaction occurring in the gasification reactor. Research that has been done by using gasification reactor system of continuous downdraft in Energy Engineering Laboratory, State Of Polytechnic Sriwijaya. Gasification process is done with continuous supply of biomass use in automatic screw control. Research carried out by variation of Air Fuel Ratio (AFR) of 0.79, 0.86, 1086, 1:22, and 1:30. The result showed the best flame stability at temperatures of 500 ° C with a blue flame colors and stable, the composition of the gas content syngas fuels at best in the Air Fuel Ratio (AFR) of 0.79 and a temperature of 500 ° C (CO: 28.55%, H2: 12,47%, CH4: 4,98%).
