Abstract
The energy crisis triggered people to develop alternative energy that are more environmentally friendly. One application that has been developed is the energy source of the solar cell. In this design, carried out the study and application control PID (Proportional-Integral-Derivative) buck converter that works to decrease the voltage of the solar cell to a maximum of 17.5 volts in test revealed to be 21.1 volts to 12 volts. The voltage generated by buck topology converter will be regulated by a PID control so that in accordance with the specified set point. Set point determined by the value of 12 volts to prevent over voltage and under voltage on the output buck converter. PID is programmed on ATmega328P microcontroller which has been integrated in the module Arduino Uno. In the application of PID, there are constants Kp, Ki, Kd is first determined by the method of trial and error in Matlab software with M-file editor.
