Abstract

The purpose of this final report is to the role of motivation according to the hierarchy of needs theory at PT Sri Varia Wisata Palembang. This research would like to know about how the role of motivation affect employees’ working performance. The data were collected through interviews, observation, and questionnaires. 30 employees of PT Sri Varia Wisata Palembang were chosen as the samples by using saturation sampling. The data were analyzed by using likert scale. The results showed that the Social need is more encouraging employees to work with percentage of 82% compared to the physiological need of 78,83%, although these needs are basic needs of human. The authors suggest that the five hierarchy Maslow’s of needs to be preserved because it is a strong incentive to make employees fulfill those requirements.
