Abstract

The purpose of making this report intended that the author can make a rangefinder system for solar cell that can doing movement by following of sun movement based on time and the solar cell still get the sun light optimally. There is RTC DS3231 Module that use as an input and as a time indication for solar cell movement. Arduino Uno is use as a data processing unit that data have been transmitted via SDA and SCL pin which is the program on the Arduino has uploaded. The final result is to turn on the power window motor through the Relay 4 Channel Driver on mechanic of solar cell so that the solar cell surface still radiated by the sun light equally. Because of power window motor movement is not too smooth, the position of the solar cell is not always in the middle of the range of the sun position, but the difference is not too much. The position of solar cell is getting from the movement of power window motor who had setting by the value of time delay on program. For the next upgrading, author suggested that the power window motor should be change using gearbox who already modificated with the hope that the movement of the solar cell can more be smoothly.
