Abstract

Designed of the shredder machine plastic cup of mineral water were made to crush the plastic cup of mineral water garbage that already very stacked and scattered in many places. This machine works automatically with electronic components such as infrared sensors that turn on the engine and load cell sensor that turn off the engine. An infrared sensor located on the funnel entrance shredder will detect plastic cup then activates the relay and turn on the AC motor to movethe crusher blade using a pulley belt to crush the plastic cup garbage. The weight pieces of plastic cup that are processed in the little container will be automatically measured using a load cell sensor then will be displayed on the LCD screen 16 x 2 which is set by the microcontroller Arduino Mega 2560. When the setpoint 150 grams has been reached then the microcontroller will turn off the relay so that the AC motor will stop spinning. The expectation of this machine will be very useful for the garbage collector that can be sale back to get a high price and plastic cupcan be recycled back because plastic garbage cannot be eliminated but only can be minimized.
