Abstract

This final report entitled "Proximity Sensor Application on Fruit Sorter Instrument Based on Color And Size Using ATMega32 Microcontroller". The instrument is designed by applying multiple sensors such as color sensor, ultrasonic sensors and proximity sensors. To determine the size of fruit it is required infrared proximity sensor to sort the fruit into 3 sizes i.e., large, medium and small. Fruit size was determined by setting 3 pieces of proximity sensors horizontally. The small fruit was detected by the first proximity sensor, the medium one was detected by the first and second proximity sensor, while and the biggest was detected by 3 proximity sensors, i.e. the first, second, and third proximity sensor. The purpose of this instrument is to apply the selection systems using proximity sensor automatically in order to group the fruit using color and size.
