Abstract

Impedance calculator application using smithchart based on android is an application that can calculate the reflection and VSWR value from a circuit and draws the smithchart. On transmission line for communication line, the impedance matching is a critical problem, so that the impedance between two media or two circuit that connected to each other can function properly. After the impedance matching is done, so that the reflection happened can be nerved so that the power transfer can work as maximal as possible, generally said that if between two media that have some difference in their impedance, then the impedance value on the first media if seen from the impedance matching that connected to that media is equal to the other media’s impedance value. This calculator application is built by using Gamemaker Studio and mixed with Android Studio, and can be run using android smartphone, this application works by using smithcart and computer counting ability. As the application exist this can help knowing the reflection and VSWR value from a circuit easily. This application generally can be used on telecommunication field on building an antenna and learning with fast and easy calculation benefit.
