The purpose of this skripsi is find out the difference between the value of the budget with the realization of works in the Office of District Pontianak and designing simple application using MS. Office Excel to overcome the difference in value of the budget, as a form of cost control at the budget Office of District Pontianak. The interviewed is done to finance staff of District Pontianak related to the realization value of the budget for the three years. Financial reports is processed to know the difference in the value of the budget with the realization. The result showed the difference between budget and actual value of the work in 2013 was Rp 151.2148.500,-. In 2014 the difference between the value of the budget and the realization was Rp 1.110.034.000,- and in 2015 amounted to Rp 174.321.830,-. From these results, the writer is suggested finance staff of District Pontianak to minimize the difference between budget and actual work to record any expences paid for operating expenses of the company.
