Abstract
This final report aims to produce a booklet “Souvenir Shops in Palembang South Sumatera.” The booklet can be used as a guidance for tourist to find the information of souvenir shops in Palembang. A development research method developed by Sukmadinata is used in this research. The problem is “How to design a booklet of souvenir shops in Palembang”. The aims of writing this report is to know how to design a booklet product of souvenir shops in Palembang to promote tourism in Palembang. The method of this report is Research and Development (R&D), they are (1) Preliminary study (2) Development of the product (3) Testing. Based on findings, the writer found the strength of this booklet that can be used as a promotion to increase the number of tourists in Palembang. The conclusion is booklet can be used as a medium to promote the tourism in Palembang and the suggestion are Tourism Department of Palembang City would provide a booklet of souvenir shops in Palembang and students of English department should develop their idea, ability and skill to increase the tourists come to Palembang.
