Abstract
This research aims at designing storybook “The Origin of PerahuBidar Race” for Children. The problems is how to design the storybook about the Origin of PerahuBidar Race for children. The purposes of writing this final report is to investigate how to design the storybook about the Origin of PerahuBidar Race for children. A development research method developed by Borg and Gall is used in this research.Theresearch instruments used are need assessment, literature studies and small scale research. Based on the preliminary study, the writer made a design of storybook about the Origin of PerahuBidar Race that can attract the children to know more about it. The design is tasted to see whether the illustration, the content and the level of readable is suitable with the children’s needs or not.It is hoped that this storybook will be one of storybooks that can give good impact for children in terms of content and the illustrations.
