Abstract

Sympathetic Triping or generally called tripping followup / false events are events that describe when a safety protective devices (relays) respond / respond incorrectly to a condition in a power system that is experiencing problems. The final report is to investigate the sympathetic disorder that occurs in several feeders at the substation ‘Seduduk Putih’. Impaired sympathetic calculated based capacitive currents were perceived by the GFR by other feeders with the same busbar. Capacitive currents were calculated at each feeder added flows that exceed the current setting of the GFR, is equal to 30 A. Based on the investigation through case studies in feeders Murai, Merpati, Walet and Kutilang, the importance of the capacitive currents flowing in the feeder Murai is equal to 17.64 A, amounting to 12.212 A Merpati feeders, feeder Walet at 12.052 and 17.052 A Kutilang for and it can be proven that tms sympathetic to the disruption of normal soil phase can accelerate time relays work can be seen at feeders Murai tms calculation, which speeds up work time relay of 1% in 1% of the total length of the channel or (1%, 1%), (25%; 0,999 %), (50%, 0.9987%), (75%, 0.998%), (100%; 0.998). The results obtained from the average of 0.998691% Murai feeders. And in the same way the average obtained in the Merpati feeders of 0.999221%; Walet by 0.998191%; and Kutilang of 0.998093%. Keywords: system protection, ground-fault relay, Symphathetic Tripping, disruption of the channel to the ground.
