Abstract
This final report studies about designing a booklet of tourism destinations in Palembang City. The purpose of this research is to find out how to design a booklet of tourism destinations in Palembang City. And the final products of this research are the booklet of Destinations on Musi River Side. In this final report, the writer used Research and Development Design method of Borg & Gall (1989) cited in Sukmadinata (2005). This method was used in order to collect, classify, and describe the process of designing a booklet of destinations in Musi River Side to promote the city tourism destinations of Palembang. The data got after following Research and Development Method of Borg & Gall (1989 as cited in Sukmadinata 2005) preliminary study, model development and final product testing dissemination, but the writer limited the report until final product because lack of time and money to finished the research in final product testing. In preliminary study, the writer described the result of collecting the data by literature study, field survey, and model draft. In model development, the writer asked some experts in limited field testing and wider field testing. In conclusion, there are some revisions by the experts’ suggestion related to the content and design of the booklet. Next, the writer has some suggestions in this process of designing booklet, the writer relizes this booklet is not perfect and still need improve. Because the lack of time and cost the writer could only discuss about 6 tourism destinasions in Palembang. The writer hope in the next research this booklet could discuss and load more destination of Palembang City.
