Abstract

The final report entitled The Designing of Horror Short Film Scripts as a Youtube Content is a report written based on the writer’s goal to make a horror short films as a Youtube content. This final report aims to acknowledge how to design short films as Youtube content. The method used in this research is Research and Development (R&D) according to Sukmadinata (2005), R&D is a method to analyze and develop a new product or improve the available product. There are three steps in R&D according to Sukmadinata(2005), which are (1) Preliminary Study, (2) Model Development, and (3) Final Product and Testing. In the preliminary step, the writer did preparation for developing product. For model development, the writer tried several tests to the product, divided in to limited testing, and wider testing. The writer did a testing step efficacy of products produced. To obtain data for this report, the writer used observation and interview techniques. According to Dudovsky (2011), in observation, the writer/researcher has to immerse themselves in the setting where their respondents are while taking notes and/or recording Through the interview, opinions from the experts have analyzed This report produces a final product, which is horror short films. Short films produced for this report are ‘PLAYING VICTIM’, ‘THE EMPTY SEAT’, and ’PRANK’.
