Abstract

UTILIZING SAWDUST AS ADSORBENT OF CONDENSATE JOINT OPERAING BODY PERTAMINA TALISMAN JAMBI MERANG Sandi 2014, Pages, Table 13, Picture 11, Attachments Saw dust absorbs condensate is strongly influenced particle size and surface water content and bound waterin it. The saw dust comes from industries in the area have a tall and slim in Bayung District of unequal size(heterogeneous) with different water contentine achunitsize after sieving(mesh). With the difference in size and presentation of water content in each size saw dust then there is also the difference in absorption saw dust. In this study, wood flour used asadsorbent condensate JOB Pertamina Talisman Jambi Merang with variable particle size and water content of the presentation. Through simulating the process of contacting the saw dust with condensate is known that the adsorption efficiency saw dust homogeneous (20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70 and 80) the mesh is(28.221, 41.063, 52.890, 55.998, 54.882, 54.882, 53.99, 56.666)%with a maximum of 12 minutesof adsorption. This value is higher when compared with the heterogeneous saw dust adsorption efficiency of19.205% and the maximum adsorption time 16 minutes. The drying process serves to improve the efficiency of adsorption which after drying saw dust heterogeneous adsorption efficiency increased by 1.44% while the homogeneous saw dustin creased by 11.97%.
