Abstract

ABSTRACT Topics that the authors take on the final report is Planning Geometric and Thickness Pavement Design on the road Simpang Meranjat – Batas Kabupaten Muara Enim South Sumatra Province Sta. 26+000 – Sta. 31+000. The purpose of this project is to increase economical growth both local and national. Also useful for launching all the activities of Develompment as a whole, the writer makes The Planning Geometric and Thickness Pavement Design on the road Simpang Meranjat – Batas Kabupaten Muara Enim South Sumatra Province. Benefits that can be taken is by the results of the final report is expected to authors and readers can understand more about planning a bold geometric and pavement. So as to create a suitable road to the traffic conditions at this time until the moment that will come. In planning geometric highway design, the things that become a guidance in planning such as the calculation of traffic growth rates determination of point coordinates, distance, Angle Between Two Tangen (Δ), Horizontal alignment, Vertical alignment and Pavement Thickness. Further calculations proceed by calculating the volume and the total cost of jobs in a Budget Plan. From the results of above calculations, street is a class II B road with the spees of the road plan 40 km/hour until 50 km/hour, and this road used 8 curves. For surface area hard compact thickness is 7,5 cm used asphalt concrete, sub base is 20 cm used split class A and base is 25 cm used sirtu class A. This road building was carried out within 46 day with a total fund Rp 21.963.276.000,00.
