Abstract

Planning Drainage System of Underpass Patal-Pusri Palembang for The Outer Part This report discusses about the planning of waste water drainage system from rainwater. Drainage works to protect underpass and highway from flooding. The author would like to know how to plan the drainage from the problems that have been found and calculate the cost of installing drainage. The data is collected by literature study. The data is calculated by using the methods that has been developed by Dr. Mononobe. This report get rainfall data : R5 = 159,545 mm and R10 = 183,694 mm. The channel shape which is used in this drainage system is a rectangular. The dimensions of the channel is obtained from calculations by using the Manning equation, in order to get the dimensions of the channels with water level 0,684 m ; 1,369 m wide channels ; 0,585 m high surveillance ; and the slope of 0,000603 channels, boxculvert channels with water level 0,852 m ; 1,704 m wide channels ; 0,653 m high surveillance ; and the slope of 0,00119 channels. The cost of the drainage is Rp. 4,403,000,000.00 and it takes 105 days. Based on the discussions and calculations, the authors conclude drainage system of Underpass Patal-Pusri for the outer part can hold rain water waste. The author suggest that in planning and installing drainage requires precision in the calculations and the corresponding terms of the economy.
