Abstract

Regional Soekarno - Hatta is a residential area that is growing from year to year, but common obstacle for the residents in the area, namely the provision of clean water that is less well served. Due to loss of water (NRW) in the system of water distribution pipelines that cause water pollution and the resulting distributed experiencing the amount of water delivered is as it should be. The purpose of the writer wants to know the cause of the loss of water (NRW) and how to cope with the loss of water in the distribution network PDAM in the area The methodology used is by collecting secondary data and primary data. Secondary data were obtained from the relevant authorities (PDAM), among other images and data distribution network DMA customer water usage per month. Taken from January to April. For primary data obtained by survey and direct observation to the field by examining the step test in the DMA, the DMA Parameswara. Testing step test is conducted in 2 phases. That is the first stage in the Regency Dian Housing zone and in the second stage in the housing Griya Putri Ayu. From the results of the step test known location of the point of lossing water, and can unknown causes. And made improvements to reduce the rate of water loss. From the results of the testing step test, obtained the location of the point of the leak and repairs. Thus obtained decrease in water loss rate (% NRW) for 4 months of the study.
