Abstract

Road has a very important role in promoting economic growth both locally and nationally. In writing this final report, the authors wanted to know how good planning in planning geometric design, pavement thickness, and building appendages in Pagar Alam Road - Tanjung Sakti, so the path to be traversed can provide a sense of security, comfortable, and economical for road users. In the geometric design of highway planning, things area reference in planning in clued the calculation of horizontal alignment, vertical alignment, pavement establish what will be used, and complementary building planning. From the results of the calculations above, Pagar Alam Road – Tanjung Sakti is a road with a speed class II road plan 50 km/ h, and in this way using14 pieces bend. Layer of the road surface using Laston with 10 cm thick layer, the base layer of crushed stone using a class A with a 20 cm thick layer, while a layer of gravel subbase using a class A with a 35 cm thick layer and to use the overlay layer with a thickness of 7cm Laston. Construction of roads is carried out with in 224 days with a total fund of Rp72,500,000,000. Key words : Improvement, Road, Geometric, Pavement
