Abstract

The purpose of the research is carried out to obtain the KAO calculation with a mixture that is easily obtainable locally. We know the cement, stone dust, and some added material used in the filler mix in Indonesia. However, cement prices are relatively expensive and to get a region which is easily available locally and the price is cheap and even free as a filler mixture. KAO with a mixture of waste carbide lime which contains quite a lot on the mix KAO specified. Hot mix asphalt type AC-WC is one type of flexible material INFERNAL SURFACE of layer by using graded aggregated continuous (continuous grades). The purpose of this research is about the mixture of waste carbide as the hot mix asphalt pavement construction performed on the data or analysis. This research was also conducted on the KAO with a mixture of calcium carbide waste in the laboratory by using a Marshall. It is also to determine the optimum value of Asphalt Content, stabilias, flow, VIM, VMA, VFA, and MQ on a hot asphalt mixture AC-WC types of waste containing a mixture pickpocket and without waste carbide. Based on the results of the test using Marshall apparatus KAO values obtained with the proportion of waste carbide 0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% is equal to 5.47%, 5.7%, 5.9%, 5.61% , and 5.55%. From the test results test Marshall stated that the use of calcium carbide waste 50% on hot asphalt mix type AC-WC has a better quality. Keywords: waste carbide, OBC, hot mix asphalt type AC-WC
