Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membantu owner atau pemilik hewan terutama pada Klinik Bougen Vet Animal Care Palembang dalam mendiagnosa penyakit pada hewan peliharaan yaitu kucing dan anjing melalui sistem pakar diagnosa penyakit kucing dan anjing. Aplikasi ini menyalurkan pengetahuan pakar atau ahli kedalam sistem yang mana sistem mempunyai kemampuan kecerdasan layaknya dokter hewan. Pada penelitian yang penulis lakukan yaitu menggunakan metode Forward Chaining dan metode pengembangan sistem ESDLC. Sistem pakar sendiri merupakan sistem yang berusaha mengimplementasikan pengetahuan manusia kedalam sistem, agar sistem dapat menyelesaikan masalah seperti yang dilakukan para ahli. Pada metode forward chaining, proses pencarian data dimulai dari premis menuju kesimpulan akhir. Cara kerja aplikasi sistem pakar diagnosa penyakit kucing dan anjing ini adalah owner memilih gejala yang bisa dilihat dari hewan peliharaannya, lalu hasil yang dipeoleh adalah berupa nama penyakit, data gejala dan solusi penanganannya. Sistem ini mempunyai nilai akurasi yang telah melalui tahap uji coba pada 10 pasien yang terdiri dari 6 pasien kucing dan 4 pasien anjing sebesar 90%. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa sistem ini sangat layak untuk digunakan dalam melakukan diagnosa penyakit pada hewan peliharaan kucing dan anjing.
