Abstract
This study was about the efforts conducted by the culture and tourism office of palembang city in developing MONPERA as Tourism objectS in Palembang. The purpose of this final report was to find out in detail in the form of qualitative survey about the efforts that have been conducted by the government in developing of MONPERA. This research was conducted in MONPERA on 02 April 2014 until 30 April 2014. For collecting the data, the writer used in-depth interview and observation. The writer interviewed 7 staffs and observed MONPERA as tourism object in Palembang. The result showed that the government has conducted some development on the aspects of security, infrastructure, tourism object and service quality. It is suggested that the government especially Tourism and Culture Department of Palembang city should improve intensively their responsibility in developing MONPERA, complete the infrastructure and maintain for the available infrastructure, held an attraction or event about the history or culture of Palembang, recruit more professional tour guides with good ability and knowledge in order to work more optimal in MONPERA and upgrade their skill about the information of Palembang city.
