Abstract
Road has a very important role in promoting economic growth both locally and nationally. In writting this final report, the authors wanted to know how good planning in planning geometric design, pavement thickness, and building appendages in border Jambi Province – Peniggalan, so the path to be traversed can provide a sense of security, comfortable, and economical for road users In the geometric design of road planning, things area reference in planning in clued the calculation of horizontal aligment, vertical aligment, pavement establish what will be used, and complementary building planning. According to the result of analysis and calculating, the highway is under class II road paln 60 km/h and this way using 16 pieces bend. Laston layer aus AC-WC 8 cm , layer AC-BC 10 cm, and foundation layer AC-Base 15 cm are used as surface layer. Foundation layer agregat A (CBR 90%) 25 cm and agregat B (CBR 60%) 28 cm and to use overlay layer with a thickness of 7 cm laston. Construction of roads is carried out with in 204 days with a total cost Rp. 51.650.000.000,00 Key words : Improvement , Road, Geometric, Pavement
