Abstract

Waste is a remnant of a business or activity. Activities in the field of development that most produce waste that is the construction of houses, construction of office buildings or other infrastructure development, especially when he did the renovation or restoration activities restarted a building. The result of the renovation of the old material will be discarded and replaced with new materials, including ceramics. Unused ceramic shards again will litter the environment if not can be used again. Therefore, it takes effort to change waste ceramics become more useful by the way made the powder filler in asphalt mixtures. Ceramic powder, lime and aggregate combined with certain composition in order to qualify the specification AC-BC (Asphalt Concrete Base-Course). The next sample is created refers to the specification of PU and the SNI applies then printed the test objects with a diameter of 10 cm and a height of 7 cm. The test Objects consist of 4 ceramic powders use variations with details as follows: use the ceramic powder 0% and 100% cement (normal variation), using ceramic powder 30% and 70% lime (variation 1), using ceramic powder 50% and 50% lime (Variation 2) then use 70% ceramic powder and 50% lime (variations 3) the mixture is heated at a temperature of approximately 140 oC compacted test objects of each 2 x 112. The test object is then tested several parameters to get the result of density, stability, flow, VMA, VFA VIM and MQ. From the results of this study were analyzed after then can be summed up: the more use of a ceramic powder as filler in the manufacture of mixed AC-BC (Asphalt-Concrete Base Course) will raise the value of VIM so value is not included in the requirements of PU 3,5%-5,5%. Ceramic powders can not be used as a filler in the making roughness tier AC-BC (Asphalt-Concrete Base Course) on the grade 1 because of the high value of VIM there by reducing waterproof and can lead to cracks in the road.
