Abstract

ABSTRAK Perkembangan teknologi informasi telah memberikan dampak signifikan dalam meningkatkan efisiensi administrasi pemerintahan, termasuk dalam pengelolaan surat menyurat. Di Kantor Camat Muara Pinang, proses administrasi surat masih dilakukan secara manual, sehingga sering terjadi keterlambatan pelayanan, kesalahan pencatatan, serta kesulitan dalam pengarsipan dan pencarian dokumen. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan membangun Aplikasi Administrasi dan Pengelolaan Surat Berbasis Website yang dirancang untuk mempermudah proses surat menyurat secara digital dan terstruktur. Aplikasi ini mengakomodasi tiga jenis pengguna, yaitu Kepala Camat yang berperan dalam memantau surat masuk, surat keluar, dan status surat; Admin yang bertugas menginput dan memproses surat; serta User yang dapat memantau status dan mengajukan permohonan surat. Pengembangan aplikasi dilakukan dengan metode Extreme Programming (XP), menggunakan bahasa pemrograman PHP dan basis data MySQL. Diharapkan aplikasi ini dapat meningkatkan efektivitas dan efisiensi dalam pengelolaan surat serta mendukung pelayanan administrasi yang lebih baik di lingkungan Kantor Camat Muara Pinang. Kata Kunci : Aplikasi, Website, Extreme Programming, Pengajuan ABSTRACT The development of information technology has had a significant impact on improving the efficiency of government administration, including in the management of official correspondence. At the Muara Pinang Sub-District Office, administrative processes related to correspondence are still conducted manually, leading to delays in service, potential recording errors, and difficulties in archiving and retrieving documents. To address these issues, this study aims to develop a Web-Based Administrative and Correspondence Management Application designed to digitize and streamline the letter management process. The application supports three types of users: the Sub-District Head, who can monitor incoming and outgoing letters as well as the status of correspondence; the Admin, who inputs and processes the letters; and the User, who can view letter statuses and submit letter requests. The application was developed using the Extreme Programming (XP) methodology, with PHP as the programming language and MySQL as the database. This application is expected to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of correspondence management and support improved administrative services at the Muara Pinang Sub-District Office.
