Abstract

SCADA (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition) is a protection system that works in real time and can be controlled over long distance. This system has data acquisition and control capability and also to carry out the order Remote Control (RC) open / close of PMCB by using radio frequencies as a medium to deliver information. PMCB (Pole Mounted Circuit Breaker) is one of the protective devices installed on the substation feeder pole, PMCB integration with SCADA systems will increase the reliability of the feeder protection system. The purpose of the author makes this final report is to investigate the process of integrating PMCB with SCADA system as well as the impact to the reliability of feeder to overcome the interference. From the results of the discussion of the integration process began by conducting a survey to determine the point to be integrated, then set its PMCB with overcurrent protection relay settings and ground fault relay setting in the feeder sequentially of 1400 A and 180 A, and on the settings in the PMCB Musi Pahit sequentially for 2912 A and 280 A then diagnose the communication patterns will be used, wiring equipment design and deliver the results of integration. After PMCB integrated with SCADA systems, feeder blackouts time decreased, which in 2013, before integrated with SCADA is about 54.93 minutes each fault, whereas after integration only takes over about 17.12 minutes to normalize an interruption. Key words: SCADA, PMCB, Protection Relay.
