Abstract

Influence Analysis of SF6 Gas Pressure Against Rate Of Electrical Arc At Circuit Breaker (CB) In Talang Ratu Substation PT.PLN (Persero) Palembang (2014: xi + 52 Page + List of Figures + List of Tables + Appendix) RAHMAN SUTIYONO ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT OF ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING STUDY PROGRAM STATE POLYTECHNIC OF SRIWIJAYA e-mail : rahman.sutiyono@gmail.com Preparation of final report aims to analyze the effect of the SF6 gas pressure caused by the arcing fault current at the time or the normal flow of electricity disconnection takes place. Arcing that occurs when termination occurs PMT can be especially damaging equipment CB itself. Therefore, SF6 gas is used as an insulating medium in the CB aims to reduce the occurrence of the arc process. Analysis is conducted to determine the magnitude of the fault current that can occur at the substation Gutter Queen and the calculation of the damping rate of the arc SF6 gas pressure in the CB. The results obtained from the analysis of the magnitude of the fault current on the 20 kV feeders in Surabaya with impaired CB 3 Phase, 2 Phase and 1-Phase to ground with a distance of 2 km from the disruption of the entire feeder length is equal to 2477.52 Km 4.545 Ampere, 2145.6 Ampere Ampere and 284.49. SF6 gas pressure and the CB has an influence on the speed of the arc where the velocity pressure of 0.64 MPa arcing in the event of interference in sequence of: 143.84 cm / s, 124.7 cm / s, 16.47 cm / s and decelerates when the pressure increased to 0.7 MPa which becomes: 114.08 cm / s, 98.9 cm / s, and 13.06 cm / s. Then this indicates that the greater the SF6 gas pressure drop rate of speed then the arcing that occurs at the time of termination. Keywords: Substation, CB, SF6-Gas
