Abstract
Web service design as a learning tools at Telecommunication Engineering based on Android is an web-based application designed using NetBeans IDE application with PHP programming language. Web service is designed specifically for students and faculty of Telecommunications Engineering Department State Polytechnic of Sriwijaya with the aim to facilitate students in the department of telecommunications engineering faculty seeking personal data, reference books and syllabus also associated with learning materials at the department of Telecommunication Engineering Polytechnic of Sriwijaya this is due because in the web service there is a form where lecturers Prodi telecommunication engineering can uploaded the file of his courses so that courses can be downloaded by students. Not only that web service applications in installations can be designed into mobile phones that have Android operating system in order to support the functionality of the web service making it easier for students to access the web service in their android phone. Web service itself uses MySQL as a data repository (database) and Eclipse Application to create Android project. (Keyword : Web Service, NetBeans IDE, PHP, MySQL, Eclipse)
