Abstract
Human detection robot is a robot that can detect human presence. With the development of advanced technology then designed a tool that aims to help the needs of the community in maintaining the security of your home or office to detect human presence are equipped with Xbee communication medium that allows it to be controlled and monitored via a PC. This tool can be applied in office space or monitoring at home. Human detection robot can work in manual and automatic mode. This robot uses sensors Receiver Passive Infrared (PIR) as a detector of the presence of man, Arduino Leonardo as robot controllers, sensors SRF 05 as an obstacle detection/ hurdles, wireless camera as a recording makers, the Xbee module as a communication medium for data transmission warning of a human is detected, and the PC as a monitor for displaying the detected human recording as well as a controller when the robot in manual mode. When the automatic mode, the robot will detect the presence of human beings by the PIR sensor, then Xbee transmitter will provide information on the Xbee receiver that the sensor has detected the presence of humans, information is distributed to the PC as a command to record the detected human. PIR sensor works optimally at a distance of 5 cm - 100 cm. While the SRF 05 Sensor works optimally at a distance of 4 cm - 20 cm. The performance of Human detection robot is affected by PIR sensor and Arduino Leonardo.
